Calder Foods are a BRC Grade AA certified site & have been for over a decade, we have an established & comprehensive HACCP & Quality Management system that considers the pre-requisite of food safety, legality & quality as the primary objective.

Calder Foods have a multidisciplinary technical team that adopt both a proactive & reactive approach to technical control including Quality Assurance (QA) Technicians throughout all aspects of the business. It is our objective to work as an extension of your existing technical resource assisting as little or as much as you require.

As the demands of the food industry continue to increase Calder Foods continue to invest to ensure that you have the information you require when you require it. This includes various tiers of analysis within independent UKAS accredited laboratories covering microbiological & chemical standards to cross species contamination control.

Food Information for Consumers Regulation [EU1169/2011]. In December 2014 new labeling legislation was brought into force throughout Europe, the key changes being the presentation of allergens in bold text, minimum font size, country of origin information & the future requirement for nutritional information to be displayed. Calder Foods made considerable investment in intelligent top labellers to ensure full compliance prior to this new legislation coming into force.

Calder Foods have comprehensive technical specifications for all products manufactured detailing the relevant information in an easy to follow format, this includes quantified ingredient declarations (QUID), full allergen details & FIC format nutritional information. Our in-house technical administration teams are able to assist in the completion of customer specific databases and/or spreadsheets if required.

We have an experienced Product Development Team that continually review industry trends in relation to new & existing product lines. With a reliable & approved supply chain Calder Foods also maintain the flexibility to react to customer specific requests.
