8 Nov 2022

OSI Group is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has named Katharine Haenelt as UK Managing Director. Katharine will begin her role with OSI in early 2023.

As UK Managing Director, Katharine will be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive business plans and strategies that aim to continue the growth trajectory and customer diversification of OSI’s International Division. In addition, Katharine will be tasked with overseeing all OSI UK facilities while maintaining OSI’s reputation for food safety and quality and assisting with the further progression of the Company’s sustainability strategy.

“We are very pleased to welcome Katharine Haenelt as the new UK Managing Director of OSI,” says Mark Richardson, Senior Executive Vice President, OSI International Division. “Katharine’s knowledge and experience across both food manufacturing and food retail will be of great benefit as we look to accelerate the development of the UK business and our wider International Division.”

Katharine joins OSI from the FTSE 100 international retailer Marks & Spencer, where she held roles of increasing responsibility, including her most recent position as Fresh Trading Director. During her time at Marks & Spencer, Katharine held full P&L responsibility for the £5.6bn Fresh Food business. She also was instrumental in transforming the performance of the Marks & Spencer food division.

Before her time at Marks & Spencer, Katharine sat on the Operating Board at ABP UK as the Sales and Marketing Director, responsible for commercial, category, and new product development. Before this, Katharine held roles across the meat and dairy industries, including General Manager at ABP Doncaster, leading the largest site in the ABP Food Group.

“I am looking forward to taking up my new role at OSI and joining the premier supplier of custom value-added food products to the world’s leading food service and retail food brands,” says Katharine. “The Company is forward-thinking, has a strong growth strategy, and I am excited to be joining the OSI family.”
